Pillars in our hearts

Ezekiel 40:14 - He made also posts of threescore cubits, even unto the post of the court round about the gate.

In my previous messages I have pointed out that the temple in Ezekiel 40,41 & 42 is about our inner man. In today's message the Lord is talking about pillars at the gate of the Temple. What are these pillars?

In the Bible we read Men of God worshiped the Lord at pillars. They were not worshiping the pillars but worshiping the Lord at these pillars they constructed. If we read the scriptures a few spaces back we will find before the made these pillars the Lord had given them a promise.

A pillar in the Bible represents a promise. These Men of God were worshiping the Lord for the promises which was given unto them. Today the Lord is telling us the first thing that should be there in our hearts is His promise and only when have His promise as the first thing in our heart it becomes a Temple according to His design.

We should ask ourselves what is the first thing that is there in it that the Lord will encounter when He enters our Temple? Is it our desires, our problems, our worries, our dislikes...

If we want our hearts to be true Temples of God with the glory of God filling it let us make His promises the top most in our hearts. When we make His promises, which is His Word as the top most in our hearts, we can say the Lord dwells in our hearts.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, we are people lost in this world. We desire things of this world and things of the flesh and have made them the top priorities in our lives. Lord, we pray You reset our priories in the proper order. Help us put your Word as the highest priority in our lives...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
