Are you prepared to return to your Master today?

Luke 17:7 - "And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?

Just a few days back there was a person named David Wilkerson a worker in the Lord's vineyard who had a car accident and died. I personally do not know him or much about him but from the communications of people I collected that he was loved and respected by many and he did great work among the people in USA. He also influenced the people around the world through his writings.

The Lord is talking to all of us especially those who are shaken up by the event, thinking as to why and how, did such a thing happen?

Understand we the workers of the Vineyard of the Lord have a task or mission given unto us. As we finish our mission and return the Lord tells us to take rest in Him. We are not here on earth to build a name for ourselves or an empire but we are called to work for the Kingdom and glory of God, once we finish our work we return to our creator to take rest in Him.

I am sure his soul must have found satisfaction in his work in the Lord. Now it is for us to think when we go back are we going to return completing the work given to us or return with incomplete work. What do we say to the Lord when we have not looked well after the sheep He has given to us or lost even one of them?

Are you prepared to return to your Master today?

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You are God and our Good Shepherd. You came as man and showed us how to tend to the sheep. You showed us the greatness in serving and not in getting served. You are King but yet You became the Servant for all mankind. Lord, help us prepare ourselves to complete the work You have assigned us. Help nothing of our flesh come between our work and we do not loose even a single sheep from the flock You have given us. Guide us as we guide the one given unto us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scripturesr ]
John 17:1-13
1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:
2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.
3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.
4 I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.
5 And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:
8 for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received them, and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.
11 And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

1 Corinthians 3:10-15
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
