RSVP Heaven by being a doer of the Word

Luke 14:23.24 - And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, that none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Today's message is again about the great inheritance which awaits us in Heaven.

Today's scripture asks us to take serious thought of our future. The Jews rejected the Savior and so salvation which was firstly promised unto them who were blood descendants of Abraham, was now available to Abraham's descendants by faith.

We may be born in a Christian family but that does not mean we get a green ticket to be part of the bride who get married to the Lord. To enter Heaven we need to not only believe in Jesus Christ but also keep His Father's Word.

This is a very serious matter; we may be an evangelist, preacher, pastor, priest etc. who may have healed many, changed people's lives and bought them into the Light, but yet our own salvation is only guarantied if we keep the Word.

That does not mean if we commit any sin we do not go to Heaven, for all our righteousness is not going to be sufficient to save us. In the Bible all except for Jesus who were called righteous were not perfect but they walked the path of righteousness; they were people who pursued righteousness.

We too may fall many times but we should not stop trying to be like Jesus. He came as a example to make things easier for us to follow.

At the end all those who pursued righteousness would be made perfected by His righteousness and will be part of the bride who marries the Lord.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord Jesus, You knew it was impossible for man to enter Heaven so You came as man and opened the gates of Heaven for us. You also became a path to follow and gave us a Helper to guide us on that path. Holy Spirit, help us in being more and more like Jesus. We may fall but by the grace available to us through Jesus Christ help us to be back on the track...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Luke 13:23-29
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

Matthew 25:1-12
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Matthew 7:19-27
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
