Hold Fast to the TRUTH

Hold fast that which is good - 1 Thessalonians 5:21

The Word of God is revealed to us slowly and His Spirit is also given to us with greater anointing as the years pass. His Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and it is His Spirit that reveals the truth to us. We may be holding on to the lies of this world but when we receive the truth we have to make a decision to keep holding on to the lie or leave the lie and hold on to the truth. We can not have both of them together. Vice verse, if we have been holding on to the truth and lies come our way, we should continue holding on to the truth and not forsake it for the lies.

Now the question comes how do we know what is good (truth) and what are lies? This we know by the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) and the Truth (Word of God). It is the truth that is revealed through the Word by His Spirit that we should hold on to. Any teaching, thought or action that goes against any scripture (with understanding) of the Word of God should be rejected.

The center scripture of the Bible is Psalms 118:8 "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

So bottom line is do not trust man more than God.

[ Prayer for the Day ]

Lord, this world is full of lies for the ruler of this world of flesh has filled it with lies and his messengers of lies. Lord I do not know what to do and whom to believe. But I know You are true and your Word is truth. Reveal your Word to me for it is a lamp to my feet and light to my path. I ask this in Jesus' Name. Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
