Write on sticks this promise

Ezekiel 37:20, 21 - And the sticks [wood] whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

In the Bible we read when God wanted to have something written permanently He instructed it be written on stone, therefore He Himself wrote the 10 Commandments and Laws on 2 tablets of stone. But we read in today's message the Lord is asking us to write on wood / sticks. I asked the question why wood and not stone?

We know wood unlike stone does not last very long. In other words the Lord is saying what He has asked us to write does not need to be for long since He is bringing it to completion soon. Now let us look at the message He is promising to fulfil soon.

The message talks of the Lord bringing His people from different nations and unifying them as one. This message is very appropriate for us and is in its due time.

In my previous messages I have spoken of the seven letters of Revelations which talks of the seven stages of the Christian Church. After the first stage of the Church of the Apostles (Ephesus meaning permitted) the letters talk of the next 2 stages wherein the Church becomes a tool in the hands of Satan and his false teachings and system (teachings of Nicolaitans) being followed in the name of Christianity. The second stage Smyrna (symbolizing sweet poison) is today called the dark ages of the Church and the Bible says Satan was seated on the throne of this church. The third stage (Pergamos meaning elevated) was a little better but yet the Nicolaitians teachings continue. It was at this stage most of the blasphemy laws/teachings of the church came into existence like traditions took priority over the Word of God and the words of the head of this church was considered infallible. He was given the authority to change the Word of God to his convenience it was at this stage that the Apocrypha were made part of the Bible.

The fourth stage (Thyatira meaning afflicted) was when the reformation movement started and thousands of true Christians were persecuted and killed by this church. Today we are at the fifth stage of Sardis (meaning red one - evangelistic church) at this stage God says He knows we are not perfect and are making mistakes and also warns us to be watchful and strengthen that which is good and at the same time repent and change the things that take us away from God.

The next stage is the stage called Philadelphia means brotherly love. This is the stage when there is unification in the Church and we see the Church as a mature Church which has authority in the Lord. This stage is the time when the Lord's glory is manifested in His Church. It is also at this stage that the false church, also known as Babylon the Great shall fall suddenly (an hour - symbolizing in a very short time).

In today's message the Lord is telling us soon He will fulfil His promise of bringing His people together in one mind and one understanding. He is going to change them from inside and going to mature them in His Spirit and His understanding. Soon we will enter the next stage of Philadelphia.

Revelation chapter 2

Revelation 3:1-13
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
