Thirsting for the Lord

Psalms 63:1 - O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

The Word of God is living water that brings cooling to our lives. It quenches all the desires and uneasiness in our lives. But there is an flip side to it, the same Word when it gets inside us is used by the Spirit of the Lord - the Spirit of Truth and creates more and more thirst and hunger within us. The desires and uneasiness of this world is replaced with a thirst and hunger for the things of the Heavenly Kingdom.

The more we feed this thirst and hunger the more the fire within us will burn and more will we see the glory of God. Feeding this thirst and hunger should be focused only to see God's glory and not our, else we will land up like Satan did. Every thing should have a purpose and all purposes should be to glorify God.

So let us feed the thirst and hunger within us with things from God's Kingdom and increase that fire within us more and more.

[ Prayer Starter ]
O Lord Holy Spirit, You are my helper, help me increase that thirst and hunger for things from the Heavenly Kingdom. Increase the fire within me so much that the glory of God comes upon His people and His sanctuary is glorified forever. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]

John 7:37-39
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
