The beauty of the bride

Songs of Solomon 4:10 - How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!

I have yet to see a preacher preach on the scriptures from Song of Solomon. Most avoid this book because of scriptures like the one we received today. If only they would have understand the real meaning of these scripture it would have been among of the most preached. This book is one of my favourites because it gives such details to the emotions between God, the Godhead, man and even the thoughts of Satan.

This book is an excellent case study for Bible image study. The whole Bible is based on image study because the Lord talks to us on things that we have not known or seen so to help us know what we cannot even imagine He uses images.

We need to understand the whole of creation, each and every creature including animals to worms, viruses to universe all are created with purpose and design. This purpose is to teach us the hidden real world that is the spiritual Heavens.

Job was before Moses and in his book he reveals great disclosures of the Kingdom of God. Job a Man of God was not a Prophet by calling but was a Teacher like Solomon. He was blessed with wisdom to understand creation and thus could decode the story God is telling man through His work.

In today's message the Lord is talking to His unredeemed Church stated as sister. Female gender since woman in physical is made in the image of man but in spirit and soul woman and man both were made in God’s image before sin came into us. Eve was made from the bone (without marrow) of Adam and bone represents nature or character. The relation 'sister' is also used because of the blood relation between the Lord and His people.

The word for wine Hebrew Yayin is strong fermented wine unlike Tiyrowsh - flesh grape juice / unfermented wine which Jesus used at the Last Supper. The Lord says He takes pleasure in our love for Him more than man takes pleasure from strong wine. He also states His pleasure in our worship for ointments represented worship and spices are used to bring fragrance to food.

The Lord is telling us even though He knows we are unfinished products and not perfect in our doings yet He encourages us to continue our efforts towards Him. He takes pleasure even in our imperfectness like a mother does with her little toddler.

Our words may not be great or our worship shaking the place around us yet the Lord loves it, so let us continue lifting our hands and praising and worshiping Him with all our hearts.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You are a loving God. Man is lesser than an insect for You yet You love him and paid a price with Blood for him. We are unworthy for we rebelled against You by sinning, yet You draw us close to You. Our hands are nothing compared to the Heavens yet we lift them up to praise and worship You. You are worthy of all our praise and You alone are worthy of our worship...

This we declare in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Job 38:25-41
25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

Job 40:15-24 (about Satan with ref to Silver back mountain gorilla, crocodile & hippopotamus)
15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
