He that keepeth thee will not slumber

Psalms 121:3 - He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

The guards of the palace of the Queen of England are famous for being attentive on duty, but even they need periodic breaks. Our Lord is not human and does not require any periodic break.

In today's scripture the word translated as 'foot' also means 'journey' and the word translated as 'moved' also means 'wavering'. Thus the Lord is going to strengthen our walk like He did with Abraham. Like the Lord spoke to Abraham and told him the words 'walk before me, and be thou perfect', He is similarly telling us the same words today. He is going to make that perfect person of us like He did with Christ.

It was the Holy Spirit Who was responsible for the perfectness in Jesus Christ. It was by the Holy Spirit Jesus was born, free of human curses and without blemish. It was the Holy Spirit Who led Him throughout His walk in life, strengthening Him, guiding Him and empowering Him. Jesus was man 100 percent man but unlike others, because of the Holy Spirit. It was the Holy Spirit Who became the resurrection power in Jesus Christ, and today the same resurrection Power is telling us He will do the same with us.

In today's message the Lord is telling us He is the One Who made the Heavens and earth, and He Who is all powerful is our shield and protector. It is He Who will sustain us in our walk in life and we need to trust Him.

Our walk in life is like riding a bicycle, once we are on the move balancing is easier; but if we stop it is almost impossible to keep the balance without putting our foot down. Keeping faith is like the applying pressure on the pedal, so let us keep our faith in the Lord and He will do the rest.
