You are armed and dangerous to Satan

Mark 5:15 - And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

After I surrendered my life to the Lord, the Lord started teaching me in amazing ways and I was excited to tell them to the world and at that time the Lord told me to be patient and just be in audience with Him. After some months the Lord told me to go and preach to the world and then I realized I did not have anyone to preach to, so where do I start and what do I share?

It then happened one of my neighbours approached me with her problems and when attending to her I was wondering what scripture, what teaching, what revelation to give her and the Lord led me to just share my testimony and that bought great and immediate change into her situation.

The man in today's message when was possessed with a legion of evil spirits was feared by all and none thought anything good could happen of him. But when they saw him sober, well dressed, sitting and listening to Jesus they were shocked.

When Jesus was parting from him, he implored Jesus to let him accompany Him. But Jesus had a special task for him and sent him to his people to share his testimony as to how good and merciful God has been to him. This testimony did great wonders and the whole town came to know Jesus.

You may be having thoughts in your minds as 'how do I do God's work?', 'how and what do I teach about God, for I do not know much' and many other questions. Understand the Lord has armed you already with a great testimony which will bring people to know Jesus. You need to just share your testimony with others and you will see the effect it has on them.

It is not written that when the man shared his testimony the whole town accepted Jesus, but it is written that the whole town came to know Jesus and for God that is sufficient for start. You may think your testimony may not be great to change people; you do not have to worry on that. As believers we need to testify the goodness of God through Jesus Christ to every soul. The Bible does not say everyone whom we preach to will enter Heaven, for even Jesus it did not happen. Leave alone the people He preached, even from the twelve of one it was already written He would lose him.

Our testimony and Gospel (good news of hope through Jesus Christ) will work on those who are children of God and bring life to the seed of faith in them so just go ahead and share.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You have built in each one of us a testimony which arms us against the works of Satan. Our testimony keeps us rooted in You and helps others to also come unto You. Lord, give each one of us the courage to open our mouths and testify unto others how great and merciful You are. It is not us but You in us that changes people...

This we ask in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Mark 5:1-23
1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
