Are You a Christian or a Gentile?

Matthew 6:31-32
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

People can be classified into three categories; Believers, Un-believers and the Ignorant.

Believers are the ones who know and worship the one and only True Living God.

The Un-believers are the ones who reject the True Living God, which means that they are aware of Him or know Him but do not want to believe in Him and worship Him.

The Ignorant are the ones who are ignorant about Him. It is not that they do not know God exist. Even if you take child and put him in the wilderness when he goes up he too experiences the presence of a Creator.

People who so called themselves Atheist also know God exist, but prefer to deny.

Also the Bible talks of people in-between these categories, but broadly summaries them into two categories Believers and Gentiles.

When we call ourselves Christians we are suppose to project the character of Christ in us.

So what will be the character of a Gentile?
Jesus says in Matthew 6:31-32 as gentiles include the character as those who are worried about 'What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?'.

As Christians do not we sometimes behave like gentiles? If our God is a Living God, His presence is every where, He is Almighty and Potent to do all things, He loves us and would go to all extends for us. Then, why do we worry about little things in our lives? Can not we call out to Him and will He not answer?

Do not behave like a Gentile, trust in the Lord and He will not disappoint you.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Lord God, You have written in your Word that You provide all my needs. Father; my Provider, even when I labor, it is You who helps me get the fruits of my efforts. Father God, I am sorry for the times I behaved like a un-believer. Being your child, teach me to always trust in You for everything. I make this prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
