The Covenant keeps us going

Jeremiah 33:19-22(King Ahaziah)
19 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

There are scriptures in the Bible which say God 'repented'. The Hebrew word means 'to mourn', 'console one's self' or 'to end mourning'. And in all the scriptures having this word and connected to the Lord, one would find man sinning.

When we sin God cries and this bring Him to anger, it is only when He remembers His covenant that He refrains from exercising His anger.

To be or not to be in His covenant is our choice, and if we stand in His Covenant then we are assured by the Lord that we would be protected not only from the evil one but also from the anger of the Lord Himself. But if we do not stand in His covenant and continue sinning then more than fearing Satan we need to fear the anger of God.

If you read the scriptures you would know that the powers of the fallen angels were taken away and they can only bring us unto destruction by our flesh, by making us sin and then bringing us unto the anger of the Lord. For there are very, very few who sell their souls unto Satan and are directly destroyed by the evil one, but most die via sinning in the flesh (carnal self).

Although we are washed of our sins, we have not overcome our sinful nature and therefore tend to sin. But if we stand in the Covenant of the Lord which is now signed on our behalf with the Blood of the Lamb we save ourselves from destruction.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, You know we weak in the flesh therefore You made a covenant with man right from the time of Noah so as to prevent man being totally destroyed by your anger. You bettered this Covenant [night] over the ages with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses etc. and perfected it in Christ [day]. Today we stand in the perfect Covenant of grace [day] signed on our behalf by the Sacrificial Blood of Jesus Christ. We are protected by this Covenant of grace. Lord, we remind You of this Covenant of grace so that we may receive your healing and your blessings continually...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Exodus 32:11-14
11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?
12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.
13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.
14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
