Time between prayers

Lamentation 3:56 - Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.

In today's message the Hebrew 'revachah' word translated as breathing comes from the root word 'revach' which means interval.

If one has seen a person crying with great grief especially small children, in between their loud crying they stop in between to breathe.

Today's message reminds us when we pray to God He does hear our prayer, but what about the time in between our prayers, do we pray for those times?

What are these times when we do not pray?

Jeremiah symbolizes these times as times when water is flowing over his head, when he is drowned in worldly things. When he is cut off from breath, a word translated as spirit, a time when we walk in the flesh and not in spirit, a time when we are not communicating with the Spirit of the Lord.

He also states these time when he is in the lowest pit, a time when problems look so serve that depression grooms death, helplessness and vanity over us.

Paul instructions in his letters to always be in prayer meaning to always be in communication with the Lord. We can be doing work, out in a park with our family or even at a party; we need to be always aware of the presence of the Lord and keep our ears inclined to Him voice like a radio receiver that is tuned into a radio band.

The Lord is telling when we pray to also pray for the times when we are not praying. So that we be less often in those times, that those time be short and do not consume us.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, we pray for the times when we are not praying, the times when we are lost in this world enjoying the pleasures of this world, or times when the troubles of this world have burdened us. We pray Lord those times be short and less often, that we be always aware of your presence. Lord, You are omnipresent and only a heart that is far from You restricts your presence. Lord, keep our hearts and ears always inclined to You and your voice...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
