Men who live on loan

Habakkuk 2:5-7
5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?

I just love today's message. It gives such an insight to yesterday's message. I would share on this for hours but I will be brief in my message.

The word given as 'wine' does not really mean alcohol but here means to sparkle or bubble. This message speaks of people put in charge of His people and the evil that they do against their own house.

Persons set to be shepherds for the flock or preachers sent to give the message of Christ but instead promote themselves the Lord compared them to Hell. Hell is a place which imprisons souls and being an endless pit it is never full.

A person who promotes himself or herself will never be satisfied and will go to any cost and extend to have more glory. They will spiritually kill people and not even blink an eyelid.

The glory they hold the Lord says is like borrowed money for all glory belongs to the Lord and those who promote themselves as actually taking or stealing the Lord's glory and this glory the Lord says will one day be taken back from them like a creditor does, with interest.

The Lord says the very people whose glory they seek will one day be the people who will curse, abuse them and mock them.

People who call themselves shepherds of the Lord should understand the seriousness of their work. I sometimes feel very sad, looking at the way they destroy their flock. In the stubbornness of their hearts they are least concern of the murders they do of their flock. They become blind in their greed for fame or power, their pride and their lust for things of this world. They should understand when Jesus said it was better for them to tie a large rock around their neck and jump in the sea than harm His (spiritual) little ones.

These messages should not be taken lightly for surely there is going to be a change in the Church and all changes start with cleaning. All filth will be thrown out and so let us not be the filth of the Church but let us repent from our ways and walk according to the ways of the Lord. We may be in debt with the Lord for His love, for His mercy, for the washing of our sins but let us not be in debt of Him of His glory. His glory He does not share, and those who use His glory will be accounted for very seriously.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, your sheep call out to You but those whom You have put in charge of leading your sheep are keeping your sheep far from You. The shepherds are not taking your sheep to green pastures provided by You instead making them eat the filth of man. Your sheep are sick and dying, hear their call and deliver them. All glory belongs to You and may you alone be glorified...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Habakkuk 2:9-10
9 Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10 Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

Mark 9:42 - And whosoever shall offend one of little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
