Commit thy way unto the Lord

Psalms 37:5,6 - Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Yesterday we had a join service of our various groups in Mumbai. At the service we were encouraging the people to a higher level of spiritual growth. There was a person from one of the far suburbs of Mumbai group, who would lead the congregation there in praise and worship. I was told whenever he use to start leading the worship, there use to be great anointing and people would fall, slain in the Holy Spirit.

So yesterday I told him to lead the whole group. I could sense the anointing in his singing. One of the songs he sang in Hindi was - Jesus, You are seated on the throne of my heart; You rule my heart and all of me is unto You.

When he was singing this there was a cry in his voice and one would easy sense it. But latter when there came a time we asked all to make a self commitment to change their ways unto the Lord, this man was scared and approached me. He was frightened for he was under great debt and would wriggle his way out by means he knew were not right. And he knew that today he would have to stop them if he made the commitment. He was very frightened of it. His spiritual relationship with the Lord was getting blocked from growing further because of this. He was not letting the Lord solve his problems but trying to solve them himself. If anybody else had a problem or was sick he would immediately, without thinking lay hands or give scriptures and has seen many times people get healed and their problems solved.

But when it comes to one's own self, many of us do not do the same. We try to solve our problems and land up using unrighteous means, keeping the Lord at a distance and our problems lingering and growing.

Let us commit ourselves to the Lord by walking in His ways, trusting Him and surely He will bring us to light, solving our problems just in time.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You are Almighty and merciful God. You do not let your people down when they make efforts to walk in your ways. Father I may not be able to become perfect, but today I commit myself that I will try, in what ever way I can and keep on trying more and more to be what You want me to be. I know You will not let me down. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
