Prophet Ezekiel

Ezekiel

Today I have been asked to share about Ezekiel.

Ezekiel was like Jeremiah a Priest called to be a Prophet. A Prophet is a Spokesperson of God. People mistake between Man of God and a Prophet.

In the Old Testament all were called Nabi (pronounced naw-bee) which was a generic term for all Men of God including Prophets. We can see this since many of the Men of God in the Old Testament never prophesized for their calling was something else. Callings were revealed only in Jesus Christ for after his coming people called Nabi as Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists, Administrators and Healers.

The Word came to Ezekiel mostly through visions. Prophets mainly get visions when asleep (dreams) or even when awake, while awake they get into something like a trance and see things before their eyes even when their eyes are wide open.

Can or do we have Prophets and prophesizes today? Yes we do and can.

But we need to understand with Jesus Christ the Word (instructions for the salvation of mankind) was complete (on the Mount of Olive). So all the prophesizes which are given after that should be in line with what is already given. Any prophesy which contradicts any one of them is to be considered a deceiving word.

The main topics which the Lord gave through Ezekiel were regards the exile of His people, building the Sanctuary and an insight of the Heavenly Kingdom and Its Beings.

When I was reading the book as the Lord was revealing the Word unto me, it was like an overload and I used to take long breaks just grasping after reading a few lines. Like Jeremiah, Zachariah, Hosea, Moses and Gospel of John; Ezekiel too is like super compressed Word which unzips unto awesome revelations which man will take ages to comprehend. Books like Daniel and Revelation are just trailers of these books.

Lord, we are part of your earthly Body. Lord, guide us that we function as a whole body not just a part of a body. Reveal Lord to your people their callings. We need Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists, Administrators and Healers working together with You as their Head, so that You be glorified here on earth...
