Take courage when faint

Faint

Today I receive only one word from the Lord and that is the word 'faint'. It may amaze you that I really went through a crazy, crazy day yesterday so as to testify this to you and give you a good understanding of today's message.

Yesterday started with me not being able to attend Church and then I had one after the other calamities like my 70plus mother had a fall on the street, immediately in a few minutes my daughter falls from the steps, but by God's grace both got away with very minor hurt and nothing serious.

It did not stop there we were to go for an important family function and when we went to the station we came to know that there was a mega block so there no trains to that destination. With heavy heart we came back. After reaching home after some time the electricity of our building went off and we came to know there was a serious fire but fortunately we had just a few days back had installed fire fighting system in our building which came very handy. Had it not been there and person who saw the fire not be able to use it, we do not know the problems that could have been there.

The problem continued with my wife spraining her foot which was minor but in turn sprained my daughter's hand which she could not move. We prayed over my daughter sprained hand and also her leg which was paining at that time and immediately she was relieved of pain. Then after some time my daughter felt sick and had stomach ache and high temperature. In the night her temperature was not coming down with medicine so we had to use salt water pads all this while we were in continuous prayer. In the morning we took her to her doc and she was much better even without taking medicine. Even from office I received not good news yesterday.

In today message the English word 'faint' is used for many Hebrew and Greek words. In Greek the 2 words translated as faint are 'ekluo' and 'ekkakeo' one has to do with being exhausted due to tiredness and the other due to evil or harm respectively; one when we try and try but things do not happen our way and the other when factors not in our control go against us. Both the Lord says not to let them bring our spirits down.

In my case I have always been having a good relationship with the Lord and out of His mercy He has always warned me of serious problems before they come. Therefore yesterday I was not really down because I trusted in the Lord I was sure I would come out safely of this tough phase.

We need to have the Truth in us if the Truth is in us we would not be walking in darkness but in Light. Though we may be having problems but these problems would not take us down. Whatever may be the problems we should remember our God is Alive and in Control and He will not let us be crushed but will bring us out stronger and more mature.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Help us Lord to remember You are Living and in Control. There are time You let us go through trouble so as to lose the things alien to your Kingdom which are attached to us and to strengthen the weak areas in us. Lord, You want us to be matures sons, sons who are holy, righteous and having knowledge of the Truth. Lord, we trust You. But during times very hard and heavy let us not lose sight of You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
2 Corinthians 4:15-18
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint [ekkakeo] not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Ephesians 3:12-16
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint [ekluo] not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
