Walking through Mount Tabor to receive new flesh, skin and bones

Lamentations 3:3,4 - Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day. My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.

The Prophet Jeremiah is one of the greater Prophets known to mankind. He did amazingly, but to be what he was; he was dealt with very harshly by the Lord.

Understand Jeremiah lived during a bad phase of history and to face that challenge the Lord put him through an obstacle course. And the obstacles were not ordinary but personal.

In the mail I sent day before yesterday I pointed out before the Lord starts building you in authority the Lord takes a person to the height of breaking point (Mount Tabor). Today's message talks about Jeremiah's Mount Tabor. This Mount Tabor is what we all will have to pass through if we want to mature into Sons of God - Sons of authority.

If you read the areas of Jeremiah which the Lord worked on were flesh, skin and bones.

When Paul said the Word of God is a double edge sword which spits the bone (joints) and the marrow, he did not mean literal but symbolic.

Life is in the blood and blood in generated from the marrow. When we die, our body dies but we continue to live because our spirit lives. When our spirit dies, this death is the second and permanent death. Thus life is not literately in the blood or the marrow but in the spirit. The marrow symbolizes the spirit and the bones our nature or character. It is our nature or character which gives shape to the real us like our bones give shape to our body. This is the reason Jesus’ bones were not allowed to be broken because He was perfect in character and nature.

Now coming to flesh, when Jesus said eat my flesh He did not literately mean human flesh but what the flesh symbolizes; the flesh symbolizes desires. Unless one does not eat the desires of Jesus, one will have nothing to do with Him. Eating the bread and wine (flesh and blood) is symbolic to what they represent and we do them as a remembrance of what they mean. But if we do not do what they symbolize then it will become just a tradition or ritual which will not change us.

About skin, if one looks at the testimony of Job when he was attacked by Satan in the body there was only one part of his body which Satan could inflect damage. Satan could touch Job's inner organs, nor his bones, nor any other part of Job other than Job's skin. All the problems Job suffered was to do with his skin and it was because it was the area of Job's spiritual problem. Job was called righteous but we learn that there was found no one righteous therefore God came as man to be a righteous sacrifice for eternity.

We are called children of righteousness, truth and holiness even though we do not complete have them. To receive them is not possible therefore they are the free gifts (fruits) which we get through Lord Jesus Christ. We are called children of them because we pursue them. We are called righteous because we walk the path of righteousness but have not reached the destination.

Job was called righteous by the Lord but Job had a problem of self righteousness. And if you read through the whole testimony of Job, God dealt with this problem of Job at the end.

Thus Jeremiah was dealt in the 3 areas which were his desires, his righteousness and his character. His desires and righteousness was made old and he was given a new flesh and new skin, which meant he now walked in the desires on the Lord and the righteousness of the Lord. God also dealt with his bones but it does say God gave him new bones. The character of Jeremiah was broken but since the perfect bones was not yet revealed, thus the job was left incomplete.

But in our case we will not only be given a new flesh, new skin but also new bones.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
John 6:50-57
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Job 2:3-8
3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

John 19:31-36
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

Hebrew 4:12
12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
