Lamb and Sheep - Part 1

Isaiah 40:11 - He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

The Lord loves His children very much, He says in his Word that 'He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arms, and carry them in his bosom'. God's arms or his finger refers to his Spirit. It is only by his Spirit, we are able to know Him.

1 Corinthians 12:3b - no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

The Lord loves his little one (lambs) so much that, since He does not want them to get hurt He hold them in his bosom. That is the love of our God.

But tell me one thing, how long can a lamb be a lamb? Some or other day it has to grow up. No father would want his child not to grow up, how much so ever he may love him. His love will be for the good of the child not for its destruction. So soon or latter the lamb has to become a sheep. And there is no scripture that says the Lord with hold his sheep in his bosom. He does love his sheep as much as He loves his lambs, but He tends to his sheep by gently leading them.

When does the lamb be come a sheep?

It is written in the scripture - 'those that are with young'. It is only when the lamb starts to behave like the shepherd and tend to other little ones that the lamb matures into a sheep.

Do not remain a lamb grow up into a sheep and behave like the Good Shepherd, give the Good News - Gospel to others. Build them in the Lord and lead them unto his Kingdom.
