Do not exalt yourself against the knowledge of God

2 Corinthians 10:5 - Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Even today we have many (I could even say most) believers who think that although the Lord speaks through the Bible, yet the Bible is work of man.

They still think it was man who wrote, edited and authored the Word of God.

It is because of this lack of understanding of the Word of God that they lack faith and relationship with the Lord. The consequences of this can be seen in their lives; but theses too they think is part of life and bear them. For them God is as they want, when they want and how they want.

It is only God's mercy that the Lord does not show Himself when they are in their nakedness. Like we live in hope of salvation in Jesus Christ, God too hopes that we change and come to know Him.

When I realized what the Word of God is, even every comma, semi-colon or colon from the Word became very important to me, so much so it can direct the future of my life.

Do not imagine God or the Kingdom of God, but submit to His Word and know Him. The Word of God gives us the knowledge of God and His Kingdom. So as Jesus submitted to the Word and manifested Himself as Christ, let us too submit to It and manifest Christ in us.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, your Word is beyond the understanding of the worldly man. It is life to us, therefore to give life You came as Jesus and gave us your Spirit. It is your Spirit Who reveals the Word unto us. Holy Spirit, teach us to submit unto You. You, Who are the author of the Word can alone bring us to its understanding...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
