The victory is ours! (Will it be mine?)

1 Samuel 12:20 - And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;

Get this understanding deep within you. You are not going to be perfect without sin.

Does that mean we give up and continue in sin? NO.

All the patriarchs including each and every human in the Bible leaving for Jesus had sin in them and died no free of sin.

Our fight over sin (sinful nature) is a long and continuous. That means starting from Noah to the last man of God on earth will be our fight. Our victory is for sure since it is written, but are we (as individuals) going to be in the victorious team; is and question.

Think of this as a grand relay running over centuries, where many people are carrying this one baton (testimony of Christ) from generation to generation adding unto it our testimonies and understanding more and more of the truth, until to the end where the whole truth is known to us and the testimony is in full in us. It is then the victory over sin is achieved.

Jesus and as man showed us how to run this relay in perfection and by His death and resurrection got us forgiveness of our sins, gave us victory over the law of sin and death which was the biggest hurdle to this relay and also gave us the guarantor (His Spirit) of our victory (individual victory).

So ultimately the question does not come will man overcome sin and have victory? The main question is will I be in the team which overcomes victory over sin?

The answer to this depends on the choice we make today. The choice if we are going to follow the Lord and stick by His Word.

Even if we are weak and fall many a times, we still need to get up and continue our fight; for we need to make our minds that we are not going go down without giving our best punch.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, You are the creator of this world and You wrote the history of the world, its start and finish. We know we have victory over sin and death for we have Jesus Christ with us in our team. Lord I pray that I remain in this team, come what may. Do with me all that You need to but do not forsake me. I am going to hold on to You and your ways...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Matthew 12:15-20
15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
16 And charged them that they should not make him known:
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

1 Corinthians 15:52-58
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Luke 21:11-13
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences (sickness and plagues); and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

1 Corinthians 1:4-8
4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrew 3:4-6
4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Revelation 6:9
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Revelation 11:3-13
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
