What is your heart condition?

Jeremiah 24:6,7 - For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up. And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

The main thing that keeps us from God and all the blessings that He wants to shower / has made available for us is our heart. Our heart becomes a wall that blocks us from knowing God and knowing the goodness of the Lord.

When the Bible says heart the Hebrew word used here is 'leb' which means inner man. All our characteristics as a person which includes our nature, our mind, our behavior, our way of thinking, our ability to perform (talents), our blessings and our curses, our priorities in life, our knowledge and wisdom and many other things concerning us, is in our inner man.

For example heredity diseases or characteristics of the parents which are passed to the child, it is not via the DNA (like science says) but from the inner man via the spirit of man (therefore Galatians 3:13 breaks all heredity diseases). When we are renewed in spirit (are born again) it is because our inner man has been renewed.

What we are going through in life is just so that we can wash away our dirty Lenin and enter Heaven. That Lenin is our hearts or our inner man.

God knows it is impossible for us to be totally clean so He being merciful says if we only make the efforts to wash it, He will replace it with new so that we can dwell before Him.

The water and the detergent which can help us and make things easy for us to clean our Linen is the Word of God and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. And the hands which can do the scrubbing and washing is the Holy Spirit.

So let us soak ourselves in the Word and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and let the Hands of God – the Holy Spirit work on us.

Father God, You are Holy and nothing imperfect can dwell before You. Therefore You have set Yourself apart from all creation. Father God, by your Word, grace and Spirit cleanse me and make me worthy to dwell before You. Like a child longs for its mother, I long for You. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.
