Do not temp Christ

1 Corinthians 10:9 - Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Many of us who have known Christ and seen His glory in our live, at times tempted Christ and therefore see great disasters.

How can we temp Christ?

In the book of Exodus 17:7 the Israelites also temped the Lord by asking if He really existed? It was this very same people who had seen the great glory of the Lord when He bought them out of Egypt.

We too at times act like the Israelites without any backbone, asking faithlessly if Christ really exist within us.

Think, after we have seen so many great things happen in our lives, we yet many times wonder if the Lord - the Holy Spirit is there with us? We may not speak out in words but our actions show that we do things without the Holy Spirit.

So let us be mindful of what we speak and of what our actions speak.

Lord, forgive me for the times I did not trust in You and You being with me. The times when I tried to do things by myself with my own efforts and then saying to You – 'Why do not You help me?' Help me always to remind myself that You are with me and in me. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.
