The Lord is God

1 Kings 8:60 - That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.

I was going through a testimony of a Muslim brother M. Rafiqul-Haqq who has converted to Christianity and there was some intercepts, I like to share with you.

'Some claim that "God is one and the same, only people call him by different names". Such a statement aims to reconcile all the religions of the world. It sounds safe and friendly; making nearly all religions acceptable so that people are lulled into a false sense of security.'

He gives a beautiful explanation of how he found the real God as a Christian. He says 'If someone discovers a painting by Picasso, Van Gogh or Leonardo De Vinci - which is damaged on one side, is it likely that he will take a pair of scissors and cut away that damaged part? We would be horrified and would rightly deduce that that person has no idea of the real value of the painting. If an average person, with small knowledge of the work of Leonardo De Vinci would not dream of cutting that damaged part, is it likely that Leonardo De Vinci himself would give instructions to cut parts of his paintings, even if they were damaged?'

He goes on to give an example of the event in King Solomon's court of the two women who claimed that the child was theirs. The real mother was ready to sacrifice for her child. Like the mother, the Lord in the Bible shows the character of the real creator who loves His creation so much that He sacrificed to save, which no other god in any religion projects that character.

Our Lord is God for He is the true creator and there is no one else other than Him.

Lord, You are God and there is no one else other than You. Open the eyes of those who are blind in heart that they may know You. Every being who knows You and acknowledges You as God may come to You and be saved. This prayer I make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
