Do not be the Grass of this Garden

1 Peter 1:24 - For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

This scripture is taken with understanding from the book of Isaiah 40:6-8. Human creation is like a garden which God has created. You will not find a garden made only of grass; they are called playgrounds not garden.

God's love for man made Him create a garden therefore when God created the world He first created a garden; the Garden of Eden. We all believers, non believers etc ... are all part of this great big garden called mankind which God has created. The man purpose of man made gardens is flowering plants, but in case of God's garden is the fruit bearing plants. To add beauty to the plants God created grass. Like the grass in a garden, in the human garden too the grass is regularly cut, burnt and replaced but the fruit bearing trees are well looked after so that they bear better fruits. The main purpose of flowers is not only beauty but for pollination and formation of fruits, which bear seeds and more fruit bearing trees. The wisdom and the achievements of man are like the flowers of the field which do not pollinate and become fruit. The Lord says that all these will be destroyed and soon forgotten, but the fruit bearing plants will be a remembrance forever.

Becoming a fruit bearing plant or not is a choice given to you. If you want to become a fruit bearing plant abide in Jesus Christ and you will bear much fruit.

Father God, make me a fruit bearing tree in your garden. Help me abide in Jesus Christ and your Word so that I may bear much fruit. Protect and help me grow the fruit of the Holy Spirit which You have planted in me. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ my Lord, Amen.

John 15:6-8
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

You will know why God created all this creation even when many do not know Him; the Word of God is awesome.
