The Holy Spirit

John 15:26 - But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

As I sat to write on the internet and one brother in the Lord was inquiring about the Holy Spirit and I told him to be patient for I was writing a teaching on the same topic. But as I took a message for the day, the Lord asked me to not keep him waiting but to share (this is for you brother and all who desire to know).

(Let me see what I can share in this short message)

The Holy Spirit is like light by itself has no colour but all objects get colour due to it. When light passes though a transparent media, it shows its basic seven colours - rainbow. The Spirit of the Lord when set to purpose is seven although He is one - Isaiah 11:2.

The Spirit of the Lord
The Spirit of wisdom - skill
The Spirit of understanding - truth
The Spirit of counsel
The Spirit of might
The Spirit of Knowledge
The Spirit of the fear of the Lord

When we are baptized in Jesus Christ we all receive the Spirit of truth – understanding. Therefore we start to understand the scriptures. According to our calling more of the Spirit (in that area) is poured on us. It was only Jesus in whom the Holy Spirit in whole (in full and all seven) was manifested. We should thirst more of the Holy Spirit in all area. We are assured we will receive all seven (in different proportions according to our calling) so that we do not lack in any area in our work in the Lord.

So if you lack understanding of scriptures pray for the more of the Spirit of truth. If you lack counsel pray for the Spirit of counsel. If you need to work in healings ask for the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. If you want to prophecy pray for the Spirit of Knowledge. If you want to do miracles pray for the Spirit of might. If you lack in applying the Word in your life pray for the Spirit of skill.

Make sure you lack none of the Holy Spirit so that you are balanced in the Lord.

Father God, You gave us your Spirit to dwell in us. We thank You Lord for dwelling in us and in whole You guide us for our purpose in the plan of God to bless us and prosper us in Him. You are my comforter and guide. Lead me and guide me that I may receive all my blessings in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Genesis 9:12,13
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow (rainbow) in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

Exodus 25:31,32
31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:

4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.


To receive more of any of the Spirit keep confessing Luke 4:18a while being specific.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me. The Spirit of _____ is upon me.
