The Bride comes to the Lord from Lebanon

Songs of Solomon 4:8 - Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.

Like I told you in my previous post to understand the book Songs of Solomon one needs to do deep word study, image study, Bible codes and have a good understanding of the characters noted in this book. It is like a Shakespeare play with the names of the person saying the dialogues removed.

Not going into too much explanation I would like to put down the message the Lord gives us today.

I will list the meanings of the words and what they symbolize.

Lebanon means whiteness, stands for purity. This purity is not exactly the purity which the Lord desires but a purity which a worldly man sees as good. Scriptures tell us even though we may not know everything, we may not know what is good or bad fully yet we should do whatever good we can towards others.

Amana means support or faith.

Shenir the name given to the snow-mountains of Hermon. I quote below a person describing the view of these mountains.

For a view of Hermon, Professor Hackett thus describes its appearance as seen from a hill north of Nazareth: "The mountain was concealed one moment, and the next, on ascending a few steps higher, stood arrayed before me with an imposing effect which I cannot easily describe. It rose immensely above every surrounding object. The purity of the atmosphere caused it to appear near, though it was in reality many miles distant. The snow on its head and sides sparkled under the rays of the sun, as if it had been robed in a vesture of silver. In my mind's eye at that moment it had none of the appearance of an inert mass of earth and rock, but glowed with life and animation. It stood there athwart my path, like a mighty giant rearing his head towards heaven and swelling with the proud consciousness of strength and majesty."

Hermon means sanctuary. It means a safe place.

Lion is an animal which symbolizes righteousness. Jesus is called the Righteousness of Judah. Satan the Beast is called a young lion for he imitates Christ and comes as an angel of light.

Leopard means to filtrate or to be pure or holy, separated from things unholy.

The Lord is telling us His Bride - His Church will come from the good that she does for mankind. She would be one who stands on faith. Her spiritual beauty would be majestic to the eyes everyone and none would be able to compare to her. She would have a safe place. Even though there would be turmoil and disasters around her, she would be safe and protected by the Lord. She would be one who pursues righteousness and holiness.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You alone are good and man is far from being anything like You. Yet You are working on man and making him worthy so that he can be part of You and have glory in You. In You alone is everlasting life and life in abundance. Lord, work on us, and as the message given today to us make your Church holy and righteous. Show your people that beautiful buildings or great structures do not count for churches but spiritually beautiful people do...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Songs of Solomon 4:7-15
7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
8 Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.
9 Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.
10 How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!
11 Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
12 A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
13 Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,
14 Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:
15 A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
