Redeeming the time

Colossians 4:5 - Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.


Science today has come to realization that time is relative like mater and energy. They also realize there was a point when time started and the Bible tells us beyond time was (is and will be) God.

The word eternity is also not suitable to God for the word means from now to forever. That is the reason some places God is referred as 'Ancient'. We living in this world have taken time as unchangeable factor. It was only the faith of Joshua that made God to make time still for a long period.

I am not asking you to have faith like Joshua to hold time still for the whole world, for that may not happen. Not because it is not possible, but because all things should be done to glorify God. What we need to understand is time depends on God, not God on time.

If God has said at a time something will happen, then nothings in this world, in Heaven or below this world can change it.

To give you an example a group of young energetic men came to me to put up a blog on the internet to expose the falsehood behind a fast growing religion. Having read Hosea I was aware the timeline that God has given when which section (religion) would come into the knowledge of God and change. So in spirit I felt this whole scale approach would not be right at this time, therefore I told them I would pray and come back. When I prayed the Lord gave a message, to be patient.

Time is not according to a clock or the vibration of an atom, but according to what God has said. If God told you something today, you can be rest assured nothing will move unless it happens. So also with regards to people of this world who are without heavenly wisdom, go according not your clock but according to what the Lord tells you.

Father God, You are from eternity to eternity. Time is a changeable factor in your Hands, but your Word does not change. You showed in Abraham, Moses and the Israelites that time does not restrict You to do what You will. Lord, help us overcome our mindset of time and live according to your Word...

Joshua 10:12-14

13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.
