Are you in need of mercy? Come to the Throne of grace

Hebrew 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Before Jesus there is no scripture which states faith healed. In all the places in the Old Testament when the people repented, approached God or a Man of God it states that mercy of God healed them (the word 'faith' occurs only twice in the Old Testament - Deut 32:20 and Hab 2:4 and 229 times in the New Testament).

It was only after Jesus was born as man that we read scriptures which state faith healed. Even in the New Testament it was still mercy that was healing them. For in the Bible we read that faith (believing in the truth) and mercy are like Siamese twins, one pulls the other. The coming of Jesus as man opened the door to abundant grace for us. We today have access to the Throne of grace by having faith in Jesus.

Today is your day; if you have been trying and trying to receive something or have been struggling in life to overcome an area in life. Having faith in Jesus who overcome death for us and opened the door to Heaven for us, let us approach the Throne of grace. Not because we are something or have been good people. Our goodness and righteousness are like filthy rags.

Let us put on the white rob which our eternal High Priest - Jesus has made available for us and in confidence of who He is let us approach the Throne of grace. For we surely know that we will not be turned back empty handed.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You are God of the Heavens, the earth and all creation. We approach your Throne of grace having faith in Jesus your Son. It is by Him we are assured mercy. So today Lord we know we will receive your mercy and be made whole in our area of lacking. We thank You in advance for this mercy...

Amen.
