Have we seen the worst yet?

Deuteronomy 28:54,55 - So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he has nothing left him in the siege, and in the narrow place, with which your enemies shall distress you in all your gates.

In Deuteronomy chapter 28 verses 1 to 14 talk about the blessing that will be on us if we diligently keep the Word of God, but verses 15 to 68 talk about the curses that will come upon us if we do not do so. The curses are approximately 4 times the blessings.

We also need to note when we are cursed by the Lord the curses goes down to our four generations but when we are blessed the blessings go down to a thousand generations.

So we see when the Lord is happy with us He does not only sets His favour over us but goes all out to let it overflow down to our many generations. But when the Lord gets angry with (which He tries to hold back for He is slow to anger) He does express His wrath in a strong way but He tries to avoid His wrath to consume all our generations. He makes a way that our future generations get an escape to survive His wrath. We see this happened with the Israelites who exited Egypt were consumed in the desert but their next generation survived to enter the Promised Land.

We are in the Passover week and soon we will be celebrating Resurrection Day. The Lord is telling us He did great things for us but even after all that if we reject Him and His Will then disastrous times are set for us. He says the worst is not over. He is telling us our enemies will surround us from all sides and we will consume our own wife and children. This siege does not need to be a physical siege but even a mental siege where hopelessness falls on us would be enough to bring us to this state.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, we pray we are safe from your wrath. That neither we nor our generations live a day to have You being against us. If man becomes our enemy You are there to save us. When fallen angels come against us, You are there to save us. But if You are against us then who can save us? Lord, we pray that we diligently keep your Word and be blessed and our generations remain in your blessings...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
