Tithing in Prayer

1 Samuel 12:23 - Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

In my mail dated 12th Jan 2009 I had mentioned that we have to tithe in form of prayer also. Praying specially for your congregation (Church) and people close to you is a must. If you do not it is not a sin. But there are times when the Lord instructs you or put in your heart to prayer for someone or some people, at that time disobeying become a sin against the Lord.

There has been many a time when I have been instructed out of the blue to prayer for someone and have latter come to know the disaster the person was saved from. When the Spirit of the Lord is in you please do not take likely your responsibility towards the people whom the Lord has given you to take care of or to help.

Pastors, Priest, Elders, Community leaders, House Church leaders, Associates of Jesus Christ etc. whatever may be your position in the House of the Lord please keep your spiritual eyes and ears open and focused towards your people. Keep praying for them especially when they need it and when the Lord instructs you. Sometimes you may need to rebuke them, go ahead and do so but at the same time intercede for them in prayer that they do not fall.

Lord God, You have called me to be a shepherd like Jesus. Help me Lord to be sensitive towards the sheep You gave me. Guide me and lead me to prayer for them whenever needed. I ask this in Jesus' Name Amen.
