Walk the Talk

John 12:26 - If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.


When I came into the Lord I was told to study the Word and the understanding will set me free. But because these people failed to read the full scripture they were referring to and therefore did not give proper guidance. They themselves are also facing difficulties in standing in the truth.

When I was not in the Lord, to fight my carnal nature was not possible. Then after being baptized it was easier but was still a challenge. I thought as the understanding of scriptures would get into me, I will get over the fence. In the start I got the feeling it would soon happen but as I came to know more I realized it was still a challenge.

Then the scriptures revealed that the true understanding comes not by knowledge, but by putting the knowledge into practice.

We have a perfect example in King Solomon. Solomon was blessed with wisdom of both worldly as well as Heavenly (spiritual). This can be seen by the fact that the greatest book of spiritual understanding in the Bible is the Songs of Solomon. Any person who is truly blessed with spiritual wisdom will see that it is like a big pot full of honey (prophesied Word are like flowers and honey its understanding). But yet we read this same great man who was having all this understanding did the most foolish thing of worshiping idols just to please his wives.

Unless we daily take up our Cross and follow Jesus it is impossible to overcome our sinful nature. This does not means carry a crucifix or to suffer in life. It means to carry our purpose in Christ.

When we truly carry our purpose in Christ it will be like carrying the Ark of Covenant. It was due to the Ark that the Israelites had victory after victory; to the state that not even one soldier became a calamity to war while they defeated thousands. The violence in the Old Testament is to understand the violence that happens in spirit when we do God's work. God truly does not encourage physical violence but tells us always to be at war in spirit.

So put on your amour and fall in line soldier. Get into your position in the Body of Christ. Do not just talk about Jesus but also WALK THE TALK.

Lord Jesus Christ, You came on earth not only to get us worthy to enter Heaven by washing awash our sins and breaking the curses we were in, You also became and example of what it meant carrying the Cross. You carried the Cross right from birth unto the day of ascending into Heaven but people only saw you carrying the crucifix on that one day of your crucifixion. Lord, show your people the true power of carrying the Cross and the glorious victory we can have by it...
