In His anger He consumes

Amos 8:8 - And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

Last time I got this message on 9th March 2011 in the morning and by evening (India time) there was a great earthquake and tsunami in Japan. I pray something like this does not happen again.

The Bible says the people who are far from God or do not know Him are void of God's mercy when His anger is expressed. Even though they are created by God the Bible also says they are like grass. They exist for a time and their purpose is not much, so either they wither away and are forgotten or they are cut and destroyed. Even those plants which only bear flowers also soon or later face the fate like the grass. It is only the fruit bearing trees that are protected and preserved.

Lord, we pray for your people in this world that your mercy and grace may be upon them that they are safe and looked after. You are a righteous God who does not destroy when even a few of your people dwell in a city your anger does not consume the city...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

26 Hast thou not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps.
27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.
