Release of pestilence and famine

Jeremiah 34:17 - Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

Today the Lord is telling us we will see a time of pestilence and famine soon. Time of pestilence means a time of widespread diseases and time of new, unknown kinds of diseases. It is also going to be a time when there will be famines in many places. This the Lord is saying because we have not proclaimed liberty to brethren. This is neither to do with releasing a slave or person in bondage, nor a release of person from spiritual (evil) bondages or hardship.

Speak to any Pastor or Ministry leader and you will find all of them will be speaking of submission to authority. The one thing all hate is when the people they nurture walk out of their shadow and start their own Church or Ministry.

We see Churches are less connected via love but share hatred and envy between each other more, for at some time before one of the leaders worked under the other and moved out of his Church.

In Matthew 23:8 Jesus says be not called Rabbi which means 'great one' or 'honourable one' for there is one Guide (Master) the Anointed One and all you are brethren.

This scripture simply says we all are equal in Christ and ultimately it is only Christ (here refers to the Spirit of Jesus Christ - the Holy Spirit) who heads us. Jesus led His disciples and when the time came He surrendered them to His Spirit and instructed them that His Spirit will lead them to all Truth and that His Spirit will help them on this path of Truth. So Jesus put His Spirit in charge of His disciples.

Christian means a person who is a disciple of Jesus Christ and according to Jesus' instructions we are to be led by His Spirit. So indirectly a Christian means one who is led by His Spirit. But to be led by His Spirit we need to grow in discernment so as to identify instructions by His Spirit from other spirits. To grow in discernment one needs to be a person who eats spiritual meat (solid food) and no one starts eating meat on the first day. One starts with spiritual milk and then moves to spiritual meat. Therefore God puts people in our lives to help fed us spiritual milk and support us through our journey from milk to solid meat. One the person grows to solid milk that person needs to be set free to do be led by the Holy Spirit and do the same unto others.

What we see happening today is people are feeding each other spiritual milk and even the leaders who held the Churches are also on milk thus lack discernment. The whole church is on milk therefore no one is setting another free to be led by the Holy Spirit. If one looks through ones spiritual eyes the state of the Church is very pathetic, it is like looking at a very able child living like a handicap (special child) all its life. When a parent looks at its child who is able and not putting efforts to mature, just growing in size but not mentally or in strength then the parent will get angry, the parent may have had pity for some time but soon or later will pass it and will even punish the child whom he or she loves, so that the child repents from its ways and correct its ways. Today the state of the Lord is like that parent who loses his patience with its child.

One of the natures of the Lord is described as slow to anger. It does not say the Lord will not get angry but says the Lord is patience and will wait for us to change, but one day He too will take the necessary steps before it becomes too late.

The time is come for us to grow in Spirit and stop being led by people. Time is come to stop living on spiritual milk but to start eating strong meat. Time is come for us to grow as Christians having authority, to reclaim kingship which the Lord had given us when He created us and which we lost when we sinned.

It is time we become Kings again.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, the watchmen You appointed over your people are busy making your own houses, making disciples for themselves and not building your House and making disciples for You. We pray Lord this message goes out to them and they change from their ways and truly work for You and the glory of your Kingdom...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
