Let your request be known unto God with these...

Philippians 4:6 - Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication (indigence) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

When we put our request to God in prayer, it should not be like filling a request form and submitting to God. When we pray whatever we ask for, we should not be anxious for it; we should be patient. It is faith that gives us the strength to keep patient. So we should increase our faith in God, which will give us the strength to keep patience in our prayer request.

The second thing that we need to do when we pray is show our deepest need for what we are praying. Unless we do not really desire from our hearts for what we are asking we may not get it.

The third thing which we need to do when we pray is thank God irrespective of what the decision is. Our thanking should not be because we receive what we asked, but irrespective of our receiving or not. We should thank because we have received that which is best for us, even more than what we asked.

Father God, You know our every thought and need, yet You ask us to put our request in prayer to You, to test our faith and build us in You. Let today's message be rooted in my heart that I may receive my hearts desire according to your Kingdom. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
