The Lord will not leave you until He has finished His work in you

Genesis 28:15 - And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

I may have mentioned before in the KJV editions the words written in italics are not part of the scriptures but have been added for easy reading. Therefore it is good practice to read, with them and without them; sometimes the intensity of the scripture increases or gives a new dimension.

Genesis 28:15 - And, behold, I with thee, and will keep thee in all whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done which I have spoken to thee of.

These words were given to Jacob the unredeemed man, and this promise is for us too. The Lord reminds us again that He has promised He will never leave us and will always keep us in all. The scripture talks not about traveling to a place but about life in whole.

The promise is that the Lord will provide us in every area of our lives. If we realize this well, then we should not worry about our wants and our needs. We should trust the Lord in every thing and every area of our lives. But this promise is not forever. The promise says UNTIL the Lord has finished His work.

The vision shown to Jacob was of Angels moving up and down a ladder. The message was that Heavens (Paradise) doors which were shut after man had sinned would be opened again for man. To enter Heaven man has to reject sin and overcome sin, for this the Lord in us, works in us and with us to redeem all His people.

So let us settle our minds; our anxiety, our worries, our problems etc. and trust the Lord to resolve them, for He has promised and is true to His promise. Also let us surrender ourselves to the Lord to work in us and through us to bring us into His Kingdom in Heaven.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You created a very beautiful world for us, but sin got us out of that world. Lord, You gave your Word unto our father Jacob that You will bring us into Paradise again, thus we rejoice in hope. We ask You to complete your work is us and make us worthy to enter your Kingdom. And while we are here we also trust You to provide us with all our needs...

We make this prayer of faith in Jesus Christ, Amen.

12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Genesis 3:23-24
23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
