Get Baptized Today

Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission [forgiveness] of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Every Christian needs to receive the two baptisms to be a Christian, to enter Heaven and inherit the salvation of God.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The Baptism of Water or the Baptism in Jesus Christ is when a person rejects sin and the understanding of this world, accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Master and his sacrifice on the cross. The world will tell you what can a man who died on the cross many years back can do for you? How can his sacrifice save you? It is when you reject these understandings and holding on to the faith in the Word of God, you accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as your sacrifice for your sins, you will receive the Baptism of Water. To receive this, one needs to repent for ones sins and knowing that there is no other way in which complete forgiveness of sins is possible, get baptized in Jesus Christ.

The Baptism of Spirit is when a person is led by the Spirit of God. The person receives the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth and is led by the Lord. When the Israelites were traveling in the wilderness they were led by a pillar of cloud in the day and fire by night. This was only after their closing the Red sea and their receiving the Commandments of God. Unless you are not baptized in Jesus Christ and do not have the Word of God written in your hearts you can not receive the Baptism of Spirit. Also like in the Baptism of Water, here too repentance is a must. Again I like to reiterate, for both the baptisms repentance is a must.

Today if you are a believer in Jesus Christ and have received Him as your Lord and Master, repent for your sinful nature and ask the Lord to baptize you with his Holy Spirit.

Pentecost (Feast of the Harvest) is supposed to be the greatest feast for all Christians. Lord came as man - Jesus, to die for our sins, to over come sin and death by being the first fruit through his resurrection and that we may receive his Holy Spirit and be the harvest.

Today the feast of Harvest is the purpose of Christ's coming, death and resurrection.

Happy Feast - may your name too be counted in the harvest of Christ.
