A warning to the leaders

Psalms 110:5 - The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Our God is indeed a merciful God but then He will not compromise His Nature or lower His Name. He does tolerate and keeps giving chance after chance to His children but then remember He is also said about His nature to be slow to anger, it does not say He does not get angry but says He is slow to anger. That means our God does get angry, due to His merciful nature He controls His anger but then if He finds man has hardened his heart then it is written He hardens their heart further and brings then to destructions. The term He hardens their hearts means He puts them in testing situations which exposes their evil hearts.

Today's message says our God is a righteous God and He does unveil His wrath for in Him is a Holy nature that does stand evil. If there is dirt in a vessel, the Lord first tries to remove that dirt and wash the vessel clean that is why He makes the vessel aware that the dirt is not part of it. But if the vessel becomes one with the dirt and refuses to get go the dirt then that vessel is of no use and needs to be destroyed.

The term kings used here means rulers or those who are put in charge to lead. Today's message is not to the rulers of the world but being a message to the Church, to God's congregation since the message of to those of the order of Melchizedek therefore it is to the leaders of the Church.

There are people whom God has chosen to lead His people and these people are filled with corrupt teachings and intentions, due to their not let going of their carnal nature, the things of the flesh. Today the Lord is giving a warning to these people to repent from their ways or else He will vent His wrath on them.

Note the scripture uses the word day and not hour. In the Bible when something happens quickly in a short time the term hour is used and then an event happens over a long period of time the term day is used. So these people may not see the wrath coming until it has engulfed them completely.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, the people are being misled and taken to the slaughter house due to many of the leaders whom You have set to lead your people are still worldly, filled with carnal desires. They desire You but do not want to let go of the things of the world. Lord we pray the leaders pursue holiness and thus lead your people to righteousness...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Joel 1:1-20
1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
2 Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?
3 Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.
5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and wail, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.
6 For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.
7 He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath stripped it bare, and cast it away; its branches are made white.
8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.
9 The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD'S ministers, mourn.
10 The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the grain is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.
11 Be ye ashamed, O ye farmers; wail, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field hath perished.
12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.
13 Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: wail, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withheld from the house of your God.
14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry to the LORD,
15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
16 Is not the food cut off before our eyes, and joy and gladness from the house of our God?
17 The seed hath perished under their clods, the storehouses are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the grain is withered.
18 How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
19 O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.
20 The beasts of the field cry also to thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
