God alone knows

1 Samuel 2:2,3 - There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

About a few days back I was very saddened because a Muslim person I was ministering expired. The day before I had gone to the hospital he was admitted to and prayed over him and spoke to his family to encourage them. He was in the last stage of cancer and doctors had given up hope. When we reached there, many of his relatives had come to see him, he was not able to either open his eyes fully or speak to them.

Later after speaking to his wife (it was a Muslim hospital with Muslims all around us yet we spoke boldly) when we laid hands on him he immediately opened his eyes and after praying he even started speaking. This caused great hope to come into the hearts of his wife and relatives who were around. From hopelessness, a ray of hope came into their hearts. I prayed that God takes him home so that this sign will cause his whole family to come to the Lord and be saved. His family was hard bounded into the rituals of Islam like praying on beads and blowing into a bottle of water on every bead and making him drink this water. They believed the prayers were trapped into the water and would come alive in the one who drank it.

When I heard of his death it was not a shock for me but just disappointment because even before I went to minister to him the first time, I had a message from the Lord that he would not survive. The good part of the message was that he would believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It was to this family I had gone some weeks back taking play dough the first time to explain the Triune God.

I did not concentrate on his healing but only on his salvation. I was disappointed as to why did not the Lord give a sign to them at least before he died, so that the Lord be glorified and not only he but also his family be saved.

Today's message says let not high words come out of our mouths for God alone know everything. He knows what is best since He alone knows everything. We are in no position to advice God what to do and what is best. When we speak high words He shakes our ground and brings us to ground level and when we make mistakes He corrects us and brings us to understand the Truth.

Let us not advice God but believe in Him who knows all and also knows the best. His thoughts are not the thoughts of man nor are His ways the ways of man.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, there are times we feel our way was the right way and when our way does not happen we get sadden and depressed. Lord, teach us to trust in You for You alone know all things and know what is best. Lord, let us remembers You did not hold back anything but risked all for our sake and this was manifested in Jesus Christ's love for us. Lord, we trust in You and follow You for even the darkness valley is not dark enough to consume us when You are with us and we hold on to You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
