The greatest pleasure

John 17:24 - Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Man has always been in awe of the beauty that is there in creation which God has made on earth. Man adores the birds, animals, beautiful sceneries which exist and spend time and money to travel far place to see them and spend whatever little time they can with them.

Even after getting back to their daily chore they still cherish those special moments.

But a person living in those locations enjoy when they come to the city and get to see the creation of man. The problem is beauty however great it may be if static will one day cease to be beautiful.

There is only one beauty which grows and grows ever unceasingly and that is the glory of God. Unlike the beauty of things on earth or visible to naked eyes this beauty will never bore a being how much so ever long a person keeps seeing it.

The scriptures talk of the Angles and all Heaven longs to see the glory of God and have their eyes continually on it. It is not like a theater screen they are watching. God is omnipresent; therefore His glory is also omnipresent. This magnificent glory keeps on growing and growing endlessly.

The Lord has invited us to witness this glory of Him in Heaven. David, who was given a slight idea of how the glory of God is, desired to live to see it eternally. God's glory is an eternal and endless pleasure which is beyond human imagination. With human eyes we cannot see glory, like the Israelites could not see the face of Moses shine after he came in the presence of the Lord. Even Moses was protected from getting hurt and therefore the Lord's glory came in a cloud before him.

There is none as beautiful as the Lord.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, we thank You for choosing us to behold your beauty, your glory. Lord, man has been pursuing the temporary pleasures of this world and many a times going against your will. You want to give us the eternal pleasure, pleasure which we will never get bored of, and keep longing more and more to behold. Lord we thank You for this...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
