Keep mercy and order

Hosea 12:6 - Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment (order), and wait on thy God continually.


When the Lord spoke to Jacob it was through a vision and in the vision the Lord showed Jacob Angels going up and down a ladder going up unto Heaven.

This vision was a promise of redemption of the decedents of Jacob. Therefore Jacob kept that stone as a memorial to keep his mind afresh of the promise. It was at this very place Bethel that the promise manifested into flesh with the birth of Jesus Christ.

Today we too have a memorial at which we hope and faith of our redemption. It is neither a stone nor a photo of Jesus Christ but the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

By his death and resurrection Jesus Christ has confirmed to us that the way to Heaven which was closed after the sin of Adam and Eve is now open to man. It is the mercy of God that is manifested through Jesus Christ by opening Heaven for us. To receive this we need to keep order and have faith.

Keeping order means to set ourselves into the Body of Christ. That does not mean just being a praying and worshiping person. It means being active in the activity of Christ. The Lord has set forth each one of us two mission one towards ourselves and the other towards His people.

The one towards our own self is to overcome our carnal self our sinful nature, the one towards His people is to bring His sheep unto His sheepfold. It does not mean just bring His sheep back to Him. It means to bring them back and also put them into that calling that position in the Body of Christ.

Thus waiting on the Lord does not mean just believing and doing nothing. It means believing and working towards that purpose we have been assigned, prevailing against the angles of darkness with our continual passion for Christ and victory in Christ.

Lord God, we thank You for manifesting your promised in Jesus Christ. By his death and resurrection You have confirmed that Heaven is now accessible to us. By giving us your Spirit You help us to enter unto the path open, by uniting us into the Body of Christ. Lord we pray that each one of us knows how special we are and the important part we have in this mission for the redemption of man. Help us to succeed in our mission while keeping mercy, order and faith...

Genesis 28:10-19
10 And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran.
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took one of the stones of the place, and put it under his head, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed; and behold, a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and, behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, Jehovah stood above it, and said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14 and thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely Jehovah is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
19 And he called the name of that place Beth-el: but the name of the city was Luz at the first.

Genesis 35:10-15
10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.
13 And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.
14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others. (All rights are with God)
