Prayer and fasting

Mark 9:29 - And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

The disciples would often face difficult situations that could be resolved only through prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting is the key that unlocks faith in our life. Effective prayer needs both the attitude of complete dependence and the action of asking. Prayer demonstrates our reliance on God as we humbly invite Him to fill us with faith and power. Fasting breaks down the doubts that keep us for building our faith. There is no substitute for prayer and fasting, especially in circumstances that seem impossible.

Father God, we thank You that we can come into your presence in prayer. Thank You that we can approach You with our hearts desires and our needs. Thank You God, that You listen to us. Thank You for the grace You give us when we fast. Thank You God, for answering us! In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen..
