He who loves life looses it and he who hates life keeps it

John 12:25,26 - He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

We all know that God has created us out of love and purpose, then why does Jesus say when we hate life we actually get to keep it. It is not life per say which Jesus is talking about but it is the kind of life which He is referring to. Jesus says who ever follows Him is with Him, and like Jesus did he too does not bother about his own life but live for the purpose of the Father, such a person will get to keep his life forever and he will be honored by the Father.

So are we going to worry about our earthly life, about its comfort and loose it for ever or are we going live for the purpose which God has created us; focus and achieve it and by doing so, receive everlasting life which is honored by the Father?

The choice is with us - short term pleasure and long term suffering or short term sacrifice and long term life, peace, joy etc...

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You did not create me just to live and enjoy the temporary pleasures of the flesh. You have great plans for me and You want to bless me abundantly. Help me to focus of the everlasting pleasures of the Kingdom of Heaven and detest from the earthly pleasures. Help me to be more like Jesus. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
