God does not burden you

Revelation 2:25 - But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Our God is the most tolerant and understanding God. He does not burden us more than what we can take.

Over the years from the time of Noah He has been revealing His Word slowly by slowly unto Man. Understand the basics - the Word of God is instructions to man to receive his salvation and come back unto God. Therefore is also called the Book of Instructions.

All the instructions needed are already written, starting from Job (he was the grand uncle of Moses and grandson to Jacob) right up to John (Book of Revelation). So much so that God even warned with serious consequences to anyone modifying anything from His Book. When John wrote the last words in his book they were meant not only for his book but for the whole Book (Bible means book).

Knowing the tendency of human mind, God put counter checks in His Word so that any matter of dispute can be reconfirmed not only once, twice but thrice. The Word of God also has checks in-build into it to expose modifications to the genuine inspired Word.

God could have thrown the whole set of instructions unto Adam in the start, but God knew that man's heart would not be able to take it. It was through experience (the hard way) that man would slowly by slowly be able to keep His Word and be saved. Therefore even Jesus did not unfold everything to all minds; He spoke in parables so that the grace and wisdom of God would slowly unfold the knowledge of God. Even today we are yet to churn out every drop of the parable which Jesus spoke about 2000years before.

As God unfolds His Word unto us, He expects us to keep that Word. He will not hold against us what He has not revealed unto us but only that which He has.

That does not mean if I do not study the Word I do not have to worry.

To this I have two things to say. Firstly if we do not study the Word and keep it then God may teach us the Word from real life experiences. Now tell me who would like to experience what the Israelites experienced in the desert?

The second fact is deliberately not studying the Word is like rejecting the Word. It is also rejecting the prosperity which God wants to give us in Heaven and here on earth.

So today, let us hold fast what God has revealed to us up to yesterday; and tomorrow, all that we learnt up to today.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
