Praying in the Holy Spirit

Jude 1:20 - But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,


The most powerful prayer is when we are praying in the Holy Spirit.

You may ask, how do I pray in the Holy Spirit?

Praying in the Holy Spirit may start with the Holy Spirit leading you to pray for someone or an event. Scriptures may flash before your eyes or come to mind connected to what you are praying; these you need to take as the promise on which you make your prayer.

The best way to pray in the Holy Spirit is if you are alone or with others who are equally mature in Spirit; is to pray in tongues. Praying in tongues is when only our spirit prays and our mind and body is kept out of it. Our mouth speaks words which our mind does not understand, but our spirit cries out to God with depths which cannot be understood.

This powerful praying does not go on for hours but maximum last for 10 to 15 minutes. Quite a few times you will experience the presence of the glory of God manifest as one prayers, in forms like trembling, getting slain in the Spirit, slight electric current pass through the body, bright light, etc...

Manifestation or no manifestation what matters is, believing in a result.

You may want to pray for a specific reason, put it before the Lord; but do not force pray on it. If you are forcing your mind to concentrate on it then you are not letting your spirit to take charge on the prayer. Let it be unto the Lord to lead you to pray for your needs.

For example you may be in great financial debt, but when you pray in the Holy Spirit, the Lord will lead you to pray for your neighbor who is well to do but having relationship problems. Forget your financial problem concentrate on your neighbor's problem and pray, crying in your spirit.

You may land up being surprised that your neighbor's problem has been sorted; not only that, your problem too got sorted.

The greatest advantage of praying in the Holy Spirit is that you land up praying also for things yet to happen. The problems get sorted out even before they arise.

Lord God, You created me and no one knows me, inside out like You do. Every thought, every hurt, every need of mine is bare before your eyes. Lord lead me as I pray. I know that You take care of me and all my needs. You are my healer, protector, provider and shepherd. Help me surrender to you totally as I pray in You...
