Physical / cosmetic changes do not matter but spiritual changes matter

1 Corinthians 7:18,19,20 - Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

This scripture has been misused by many to continue in their fleshly (carnal) way of life. Jesus and even John the Baptist; not excluding even the Men of God of the Old Testament like Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah etc. first asked the people to repent and change their way of life and then come to the Lord. Changes in their way of life did not mean just physical / cosmetic changes but changes in the core - their character and spiritual ways.

People misuse this scripture to continue to keep Satan while putting on the mask of a Christian. This is the reason we have gay priest or priest who taken oath to celibacy and yet have marital affairs behind people's backs. Let's not look at them alone, but also at ourselves, what we project unto others as Christians.

Is being a Christian mean putting on a mask of Jesus? As true Christian do we have Christ in us and do we project this light of Christ unto the world? When people come to you preaching the Gospel of Christ do you support them? Or do you dissuade them and become a hurdle for Christ?
