Why we have no peace or no safety, and why disasters surround us

2 Chronicles 15:3,5 - Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law: And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.

In today's message the Lord says why people do not have peace, no safety and why disasters surround them and the 3 reasons which He states are without true God (not worshiping the true God), without teaching priest (lack understanding of the Word of God) and without law (not walking in the righteousness of God).

People do not realize the importance of worshiping God. Many think they worship God to butter Him. One should realize we are nothing before God and there is no way man can do anything which can butter Him up, we worship God more because we need to more than God needs us to. When we worship God we seek His countenance and have peace in our surrounding that is the reason why we worship God.

This peace is not worldly peace but peace from God. So do not expect all our enemies to come and shake our hand, but expect when our enemy shakes his fist against us he will no longer be able to do so.

So when we worship God we need to get desperate and lifting our hands (symbolizes surrendering ourselves) we need to cry out unto Him.

The main reason we study the Bible is to know God and know ourselves in Him. People think they know God, till date right from Enoch to today there is no one who knows God fully except for Jesus Christ. All of us know a little of God. Even Moses who spoke face to face with God knew only His back. In those times man was not redeemed by the Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ so they could not receive the Holy Spirit in full but we who are now are in a better position to know God than the Patriarchs before Jesus. Even though the Men of God wrote the scriptures, they themselves did not have the real full knowledge of what they wrote but today the Spirit of God - The Spirit of Truth unfolds those scriptures to us. It is only when we have the full understanding of the scripture will we know God and have total authority in His Name.

This is a continuous process and we need to keep building ourselves and build each other in the understanding of the Word of God.

Just worshiping God and pursuing the understanding of His Word and not walking in that understanding is like knowing God but rejecting Him. It is righteousness (walking in His ways) which brings peace with us. So true acceptance of God is when we worship Him in Spirit and Truth; which means worshiping God with understanding of Who He is and having Him in us as a part of us. God being Holy requires us to keep ourselves holy since we are His true Temple. We may not be perfect but according to the understanding we have of Him and His Word we need to walk in it, but one day when we all together get to know Him the perfectness will come in us.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, your people lost the Truth, Righteousness and Holiness when sin entered them through Adam. Because sin dwells in man your anger is on man and creation which man is put in authority of. To bring back man to You, You allow us to worship You and gave us the Word to know You and be like You created us, in your image. Knowing this is impossible to man alone You gave us an example and your Spirit through your Son Jesus Christ so that we will be able to be born again in the image You created us. Lord we pray You help us more and more to worship You in Spirit and Truth...

This prayer we make in your Mighty Name, Amen.
