Test the Gold in you

Zephaniah 1:12 - And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.


This Jan end the Lord had given me a vision of the things that were to happen in the believer Church I attend for worship. When I went to meet the pastor of this Church I encountered some unfriendly experience and I was given a message that the Lord will take them through this in a very easy way (the head of this Church was to be replaced - I was shown 3 persons and this the Lord would do as the message said with a hook in the nostrils also giving me the reasons why). All this has almost come to pass as I heard of a few days back (I have yet to confirm on the finer details).

When I shared this with my students a few Sundays back (most of them came from Catholic background), some did not take it well. There were some who thought if the believer Church is also like this then why should we leave where we have been. There were some who though what right I have to judge anointed Men of God.

Last Sunday at worship as I put this before the Lord as to how I should deal with it, the Lord put in my mind a beautiful understanding - gold. This is how I simplified and put before them:-

Consider you have to keep all your life belongings in gold coins and at the end all these gold coins will be valued in Heaven and you will be paid in Heaven accordingly. The more the value the better location in Heaven one would get and a person without value would be thrown out into hell. Now these coins are to be procured through men on earth.

Going by the system in Heaven, purity (quality) is given great importance, and as you know gold is available to us in carats. We have 18 carat, 20 carat, 22 carat, 23 carat and 24 carat. Even 24 carat gold as we know is not pure gold, it is 99.9 percent pure. It still has that 0.1 percent impurity.

Now consider different persons giving out these gold coins as you earn yourself through life. Some of them are giving 18carat gold coins, some giving 20 carat and so on. By naked eyes and without instruments it is not possible to know the purity of gold; the only way is to discern the gold by the person who is giving it, how honest or true he or she is.

Now the catch comes that among the persons giving away these coins is one who is giving iron coins plated in gold. Looking at the coin it is not possible to know that you are being cheated. But when you discern the person you can easily know that this person is a crook and is cheating you.

Taking all this into consideration, who will you collect your gold coins from? Surely not the gold plating guy, for when your coins get tested in Heaven you will have no value and will not get entry. One will surely search for the 24 carat guy even though knowing he is not perfect. But he being the best would be sufficient.

This is the same with the Jesus we receive from the Churches we go to.

There is the Catholic Church which is giving Jesus as gold plated coins having no truth in what they give. It is all human thinking and human words plated with the Name Jesus Christ. Then there are the believer Churches which give us Jesus in different levels of purity.

We may say the believer Churches are not pure but definitely they are worth a thousand and million times more than the duplicate Jesus which the Catholic Church is giving. No doubt we need to test the Jesus which the believer Churches are giving and look out for the 24 carat Jesus among them.

The time has come God is testing the Jesus in us. Those who are giving duplicate Jesus will be made a testimony and those giving impure Jesus will be pulled up.

Know the Jesus you have in you with the Jesus in the Bible and check the purity.

Lord God, You are a holy God and before You nothing unholy can come. By the humbling of your Son and Spirit You are working in man to make him worthy to come before You. Father, refine us and by your Spirit help us discern the Jesus we are receiving from others. We want the Jesus given in your Word in us so that we become pure like Him...

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
