Go you into all the Cosmos and preach the Gospel

Mark 16:15,16 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world [kosmos], and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Today's scripture may seem to be a simple instruction but since man has not understood this instruction well he has not been successful on his task. Till morning I too did not know it well but since I got up the Lord was talking unto my mind and preparing me and when I sat to write and got the message for today BINGO, He open a whole new understanding to this instruction.

To understand this instruction one need to understand life, creation, Kingdom of God and the purpose of creation. It also requires a proper understanding of what baptism is.

If I would tell the Christians in a Church that the Lord instructed us to go into all the Cosmos and preach the Gospel and baptize people who believe and save them, they would think I am crazy. But when we really understand why Jesus used the Greek word 'Kosmos' (which is translated as 'world' and from which we get the English word 'cosmos'), we will understand what Jesus asked us to do and why.

The word 'Kosmos' means order or system, an arrangement of bodies or understandings. When God created the world He put everything in His order and said 'it is good'. But when man ate of the fruit of 'good and bad', he rejected the order of God and started building the corrupt order of Satan which leads to death and destruction. Today we find everything and everywhere the infection of this order and the lack of God's order. This corrupt order of man infected man's relation with creation and made creation his enemy.

The Lord has instructed us to go and give the message of hope unto every human that lives in this Cosmos of disorder and baptize them, which means asking them to reject this corrupt order and abide by the order of God as given in the Word of God.

Like baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a task but the start of a process, so also baptism in water or in Jesus Christ is not a onetime task but a start of a process of rejecting the corrupt order of this cosmos and surrendering to the order of God manifested in Jesus Christ.

When we give the Gospel unto any person we should realize we are speaking words which break the system or cosmos in which that person dwells in. The Good News when accepted starts to loosen the bounds which hold man in this swamp of death and destruction. Rejecting the cosmos saves us, for whoever rejects the Good News is judged and punished.

Once we start the baptism in Jesus Christ the baptism of the Holy Spirit starts implement the baptism in Jesus Christ further which means breaking all the bonds that hold us in this cosmos, the Holy Spirit reaches in areas which would otherwise be impossible for man.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You made everything good but rebellious sin infected this system and corrupted it with disorder. Man has dwelled in this disorder made it his world getting bounded into it. Lord, free us fully from this disorder that destroys us and which was induced into us by Satan. Open our minds unto the Truth, the True Order of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
