Are you traveling from city to city?

Isaiah 62:1 - For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Haven't we many a time asked ourselves, why we face problems, why are there difficulties in life? Even when we start to follow the Lord, we do face problems. In Isaiah 62:1 the Lord says the reason of this is that He wants us to move from one city to another. He wants us to have the best, but we tend to settle down for the sub-standard. Since we do not know what is waiting for us in our next destination, we tend to be happy with what we are.

Our journey is from the World to Jerusalem to Zion.

People who love the world have nothing to do with God, so those who forsake the world start on this journey. So, when we forsake this world, study the Word of the Lord, worship Him and let Him guide us in our lives we start to habitat in Jerusalem. The Hebrew word 'Jerusalem' [Strong number 03389 ] means 'teaching of peace'. Jerusalem is not a destination but a process to our destination 'Zion' (Hebrew for 'fortified city'). David when he became King he called his headquarters in Jerusalem as Zion (city of David), in faith. In fact all things he set forth were perfect according to the Kingdom of God (read 1 Chronicles chapters 23, 24, 25). Jerusalem is our city in this world, from here we are to move to Zion the city which the Lord has set for us in His Kingdom. We should not be contented with whatever situation we are in, always be ready to move on in the spiritual journey to Zion. Ask the Lord for promotion.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, I am traveling. I have rejected this world and the materialistic things of this world, things that satisfy only the flesh. They are made only for our livelihood and not to be carved for. I dwell in Jerusalem your city where You are teaching me. Lord, promote me unto Zion where You dwell, so that I can dwell below your mountains. I ask this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
