O backsliding daughter?

Jeremiah 49:4,5 - Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me? Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.


In the Bible most prophesies are of multiple period / dimension. For i.e. the prophesy of the King coming on an ass in the book of Zechariah was fulfilled by Jesus entering Jericho on an ass, but this same prophesy will again be fulfilled in the end days when Lord Jesus Christ will come in glory with His Angels. These Angels are those of the first resurrection and are the ones who have been chosen and overcame the nature of Adam. They are those who like an ass (like me) think by themselves cannot do anything and it is the Lord who works in them and through them. That is the reason Jesus did not select great minds as disciples but those (fishermen) whom the world rejected as foolish.

Today's message is from one of Jeremiah's prophesies. Jeremiah in chapter 49 and 50 prophesized against Ammon, Edom, Damascas, Kedar and Hazor, Elam and Babylon. Although they referred to tribes during the times of Jeremiah in spiritual sense they refer to spiritual set of people. Like today's message is a prophesy against Ammon; the word Ammon means 'children'. This prophesy in sprit is against the children of God and today's message is for a special section of them 'the daughters'. The word daughter in Hebrew is made of two words 'build' and 'son', together they mean 'a son in the making'. In spiritual sense a mature person in the Lord is called a son and the inheritance of the Kingdom of God is only for sons. Daughters refer to children who have yet not become sons and are in the making. They are further classified at different levels from Egypt to Zion, like daughters or Egypt (people living a double life), daughters of Jerusalem (people who pursue peace with God), daughters or Zion (people having authority in the Lord). This is the reason in many scriptures Israel was referred to sometimes as Israel and sometimes Jacob, and sometimes sons and sometimes daughters. Sons and daughter in most scriptures does not refer to the physical gender but to the spiritual state, for both man and woman in spirit are of one gender which is neither male nor female (in spirit we are like Angels who are without gender).

People have not understood this and therefore we have some translations, where people thinking the Bible is against the physical genders have modified scriptures to meet their understanding and taste.

Today's message against 'daughters', is against those people who know the Lord but refuse to mature in Him. They are happy being blessed with worldly blessings. For them Heaven is where the flesh and pleasures of the flesh get satisfied since they do not know Heaven. Some of them do not even know where they will be goings once their term in this body ends.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ we all need to be 'sons' to enter the Kingdom of Heaven so do not get relaxed in spirit thirst to grow and mature in spirit. Maturity comes when practice makes perfection so thirst to know more of the Word of God and be a doer of the Word.

Lord, You are our creator and when You created this world and us, You were aware of all that was, is and is to come. Therefore You gave is the Book of Instructions so that we chose good against bad. The ability to identify and chose good came through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus we want to be sons like You and by your Spirit mould us and bring us unto You. We are not of this world but of the Kingdom of God. Burn a fire in our bones for the Kingdom of God and its glory on earth...

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

Jeremiah 6:26
26 O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
